Backstabbin' Bob Blubbers Bigly!
Good is an ineffective Congressman, dead weight in the war for the survival of the Republic. He needs to go. OPINION
Bob Good is upset that John McGuire is challenging him for the 5th District Congressional job. Some will differ, but taking Bob up on his obsession about being challenged throughout the Senate 10 primary season seems reasonable to me. Bob hasn't done a damn thing for the people of the 5th District. Bob’s job appears to be blubbering, then as now, that McGuire lies, is a coward, and wants his job. A self-fulfilling prophecy?
Bob claimed he would turn back the Leftist agenda and get things done for Virginia. He claimed he was a conservative who would be more effective than Denver Riggleman. Is Bob a backstabber? Has he been more effective than Riggleman? Did Bob lie about his abilities? Let's dissect the issues and find out.
Bob goes to Congress on a promise.
Bob jumped into politics at the behest of his political consultants (Bonnie and Clyde LLC) and members of the goofy Dominionist cult out of Lynchburg to challenge incumbent Denver Riggleman. Riggleman claimed to be conservative but was found to be otherwise. Bob claimed he would make a difference in DC and has yet to have a bill passed into law. Riggleman managed to get thirteen bills passed into law. McGuire has successfully passed bills into law in the State Legislature- more on that in the next post.
Good, a one-term supervisor from Campbell County, needed help to defeat an incumbent. He made claims of being a conservative, just as did Riggleman. So what did he do? He went to Donald J. Trump and pleaded for an endorsement, which was given. Trump doesn't hand out endorsements without an expectation of loyalty. Does Bob have loyalty to anyone but himself? Did he keep the promises he made on receiving the endorsement? Does he backstab? You bet. Did Riggleman get fired for not fulfilling his commitments? Indeed. Bob is all about entitlement when it serves him.

"I'm thankful to have received the support of our President and look forward to working alongside him on his America First Agenda," stated Good upon receiving the endorsement this afternoon. "I am committed to bringing back the strong economy that President Trump created during his first term by keeping taxes low, ensuring that burdensome regulations are removed from businesses and focusing on job growth in our district. I stand ready to defend our law enforcement partners and believe that public safety is one of the most important roles of government."
Good endorsed DeSantis on May 9, 2023, well before DeSantis announced his challenge to President Trump on May 23rd. Bob Good planned to endorse DeSantis without telling his constituents, who are overwhelmingly Trump supporters. He still hasn’t clarified by keeping Trump’s endorsement on his website. Isn't colluding and conniving what Good accuses McGuire of?
Bob Good picked the day of DJT's indictment to endorse DeSantis:
“...That strength in the face of adversity is needed more today than ever before, and it is why I am unequivocally endorsing and encouraging Governor DeSantis to run for president,”
Good also said in the release that:
"DeSantis has demonstrated as governor that he can face challenges and deliver effective results for every man, woman, and child." "That strength in the face of adversity is needed more today than ever before, and it is why I am unequivocally endorsing and encouraging Governor DeSantis to run for president,"
Good took Trump’s endorsement to win his seat and colluded with the Never-Trumpers to endorse DeSantis—clearly, a case of backstabbing.
Backstabbing is Bob’s go-to maneuver.
Bob also took a lot of campaign cash from Speaker McCarthy. Now McCarthy is retiring, and Bob’s big play has resulted in a slim 3-vote margin for House Republicans. Whatever you think of McCarthy (I got no use for him), Bob went to him for the money to get reelected and then stabbed the guy in the back! Now, we are more vulnerable, thanks to Blubbering Bob. We have a pattern here.
Bob has no political skills, and the result is nobody likes him on the Hill, so much so that he has trouble getting co-sponsors and cannot walk a Bill through the process. Ask yourself, would you trust a guy with a pattern of backstabbing? Trump, McCarthy, and us, the constituents- got the shiv in some way. Bob misrepresented his abilities, and now the 5th needs effective representation. Somebody is going to primary this guy. Somebody should primary this guy. Somebody, please primary this guy!
Back Stabbin’ Bob Good, Hypocrisy is thy name.
Bob accuses McGuire of somehow "betraying" him (as if the seat is his personal property) but had no issue betraying us, Trump, and McCarthy. Trump won’t take kindly to being backstabbed, and we shouldn’t either. If Bob wants to stick a proverbial knife in folks, he should do it face-to-face. I am all for seeing him work for a change and face McGuire. I have no doubt who will win. Did I mention Good still has Trump’s endorsement on his website?
Never turn your back on the NEVER TRUMP PAC-
Good announced his DeSantis endorsement through Ken Cuccinelli's Never-Trumper Never Back Down super PAC.
This PAC has deep roots in Virginia. Ken Cuccinelli founded it for Never-Trumpers, including some from the Youngkin and 2016 Ted Cruz campaigns. I’ve blogged on Cooch- see the link at the bottom.
Never Back Down PAC is funding and orchestrating much of the DeSantis campaign. It's bleeding money and big donors, a slow-motion train wreck squandering $80 million-plus on ineffective and sometimes damaging ads, events, and uninfluential social media "influencers.” The PAC's Chairman, CEO, and Communications Director resigned within the past two weeks. An interim CEO (who worked for Karl Rove) was hired but fired after being on the job for nine days. If that isn’t bad enough, rumors of a massive sex and expenditure scandal are circulating.

With the convulsing of the DeSantis campaign, will Backstabbin' Bob stick it to DeSantis and switch back to Trump? Will he switch his allegiance to a neocon, globalist, chamber-of-commerce Bush Republican? Nikki Haley? How about Chris Christie? Are Bob and his fellow Never Trumpers sad Mike Pence dropped out? Trump will never take him back. Would you?

How far back did Back Stabbin’ Bob decide to betray Trump, as far back as January 2023? Here is a video of Good looking none too happy as he listens to Matt Gaetz nominate Trump for Speaker of the House. Gaetz summarizes Trump's significant accomplishments, which should make a "good conservative" very happy to hear. Instead, Good looks like he's going to cough up a fur ball. One wonders if Good ever told Gaetz he backstabbed DJT. I doubt it; Gaetz is not a backstabber.
