Did any of y’all here in Hanover receive this email from the County? I found it today and immediately took action, telling my lawn guys to hide.
No, seriously, that’s not Miguele, that’s Thomas.
Anyway, read it for yourselves:
First things first, I sent my Supervisor, Jeff Stoneman a text message and demanded to know how many Chihuahuas he has working at his Pet Hacienda. We will do drive-bys to see if any of those little doggies are mowing the grass or answering the phones. He responded and told the Five and Dime “
None at this time. I do however have monthly visits from DHS to verify I am in compliance.” ~Beaverdam District Supervisor Jeff Stoneman
Now DHS can stand for Doggie Hacienda Sanctuary… seeee how fishy that is? People wanna know if there is some kind of Chihuahua grooming thing going on over there!
Next, I sent another text to Sheriff Hines’ office asking if they could brief me, and they replied: “This smells so bad we can barely brief!!” I responded:- can’t you tell me anything, and they say NUTELLA! We nutella you notheen!
The county has posted this on its social media account, and it's receiving some interesting responses. This one is particularly noteworthy…
“I remember meeting in person with Sheriff Hines at the beginning of the first Trump administration. We had a good convo. He emphatically stated that he would have his department do their jobs and let immigration/feds do theirs. He would not hold people on immigration status issues as he and his deputies could be held liable for violating individuals’ civil rights. He said also this would be a strain on Hanover’s resources as it would be unfunded man hours housing. He actually said local law enforcement enforcing detainers approach makes people less safe as it creates mistrust in our community and reluctance to engage in any way with law enforcement. He said it doesn’t matter to him what a person’s immigration status is. He’ll do his job as local law enforcement. Feds can do their job. Hanover Sheriff’s dept wasn’t going to do it for them.”
Meanwhile, DHS seems intent on its mission, and given Tom Homan’s commitment to cashew (We gonna cashew, every one of you…), deportation, and ensuring law enforcement, one wonders what their beef is?
I am hoping that the County wheelchair access… as in ‘Wheelchair all de information we have on de illigals wid you!’
Stay tuned…
