Hunters Become the Hunted – Duane Adams Just Tried to Steal the Senate 10 Nomination.
The usual suspects were working last week's 10th State Senate District Committee meeting to hijack the Special Election for Duane Adams by manipulating the time, date, and venue for Adam's advantage. Adams is in dire need of new supporters because he is unliked and unlikeable; for instance, telling Louisa County constituents to "recall me" if they didn't like his kowtowing to out-of-state developers, especially after his behavior during the last Senate 10 race (where he lost miserably to our now Congressman-Elect John McGuire).
Adams hopes hunters may not know him well enough to dislike him yet, and he needs the upcoming Mass Meeting to be easy for hunters to attend. That rules out a Saturday, as the demographic he is grooming is hunting. So the game was on for CONsultants Bonnie and Clyde Strategies, LLC, to do what they get hired to do: rig the Mass Meeting for their client's benefit. Cultivating a reputation for "sticking up" RPV Grassroots and delivering their representation to the highest bidding candidate is why they self-identify as notorious cop-murdering thieves of yesteryear, Bonnie and Clyde.
How to Plan the Heist – if you can't win on personal merit, rig it!
To succeed, Adams and his gangsters must get the 10th Senate committee (composed of county unit chairs) to pick the day, time, and place for the Mass Meeting that benefits Adams. Tough toenails if it disadvantages the rank and file.
Team Adams' scheme became plain as day during last week's 10th Senate committee meeting, and here is the gist of it:
First, Team Adams wanted to pick the location. But where is Adams popular? He only got 24% of the vote in the previous 10th Senate Primary against McGuire. After I published his record on the Hanover Conservative Caucus blog, he lost his own County (Louisa), and performed miserably in Hanover.
How about Fluvanna, where hunters are abundant? Adams is working the County hard and has Darryl Byers and Carolyn Ley of the Fluvanna Republican Unit there to help. He even has an offer from a third party to pay for a venue at Fork Union Military Academy to keep it close for his cultivated hunting vote.
Second, Team Adams wanted to dictate the day and time to accommodate his hunters, which required Thursday night, December 12, as the date, a 6:30 pm start time, and the Fork Union Military Academy as
the venue. FUMA is the perfect place to heist the grassroots opportunity, as Fluvanna's hunters can easily show, while voters from other counties, especially vote-weighted Hanover, are deterred.
Let me repeat: Team Duane needs hunter votes; therefore, avoid Friday night and Saturday at all costs. Saturday because hunters are out in the field doing what they love. Friday night because Duane's hunters have to get up early to get out to their stands and drop the dogs. Remember, evening Mass meetings run for hours into the night. It's a war of attrition; the more the grassroots are delayed with voting rounds and speeches, the more will leave before picking a winner, benefiting the people manipulating the event- Team Adams. By the time voters get through credentials checks and multiple rounds to eliminate several candidates and speeches and declare a winner, it will be midnight or later.
Bottom line:
Team Adams wanted Thursday evening, December 12, and Fork Union as the venue. What better way to ensure Duane a win (who has run for office three times as a Democrat) than discouraging the competition for his hunter demographic, the working folks with school-age kids, from coming than by securing the Mass Meeting on Thursday night way out in Fluvanna?
To get their rigged plan adopted, Adam's team needed buy-in from the 10th State Senate District Committee during last week's meeting. The Adams team's cast of characters at the meeting was straight out of a classic 1930s gangster movie. Diana Shores (Bonnie), Committee Chair of Prince Edward, and partner of Chris Shores (Clyde), whose endless negative ads and slanders against McGuire ran Bob Good's campaign into the dirt, Rick Buchanan (5th Congressional District Chairman), Darrel Byers, Louisa Republican Unit's William Woody, and Diana's proxy were all on hand to work the meeting for Adams under the direction of Diana Shores.
A TOTAL FAILURE for Team Adams!! The 10th state senate District Committee rejected the rigging scheme.
Most of the Committee (and the RPV) have had enough of Duane Adams, Bonnie, and Clyde and their shenanigans and scheduled the Mass Meeting for Friday, Dec. 13th (oh, the irony), 6:30 pm, at the Goochland Sports Complex. While Saturday afternoon would be best for overall attendance of the rank and file, Friday evening is far superior to Thursday evening. Hunters will likely skip the long Friday evening Mass Meeting to get a decent night's sleep before their big hunt on Saturday. Here's to pleasant dreams and happy hunting!
Duane lost his May 7, 2023 Primary bid and relied on generating 'anti-McGuire votes,' which won't help him this time- a good example of Bonnie and Clyde's manipulation strategies for primaries. They can't win without gaslighting opponents or rigging; even John Fredericks recently called Duane's CONsultants the Shores "RiNOs and riggers" on his syndicated Radio Show.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MEETING:
A casualty at the meeting was William Woody, who replaced Bob Good's campaign member and former Louisa Committee Chair Robin Horne and was there in support of Adams/Diana Shores, pitched Thursday at 6:30 pm. He claimed Fluvanna/Fork Union can't change because he and others had put it out on FB and RTD (Democrat platforms). 70% of the Committee voted Fork Union down. Williams ate crow by being instructed to contact the media with a correction.
Martha Muniz pointed out that Goochland would be $1650.00 cheaper than Fluvanna/ FUMA (Fork Union Military Academy), which has no gas stations, restaurants, or lighting. Goochland has lighting and parking.
They were already saddled with an estimate of $3000 for misc. supplies- ballot boxes, tape, markers, etc. means the Committee would be $4-5000 in the hole.
When it became clear that Plan Thursday would not prevail, Diana commanded Darryl Byers to call Fork Union and arrange for what they said was only available Thursday night to miraculously manifest Saturday morning.
Saturday's License Checked:
The 5th Congressional District Committee meeting is scheduled for Saturday, the 14th! Buddy Bishop, Goochland Republican Committee, laughed aloud at the embarrassing oversight, as Rick Buchanan, 5th CD Chair, and Shores should have known this! Diana Shores turned to Buchanan and demanded he change the date (he hasn't so far).
Rick Buchanan did try to comment during the meeting. Buchanan is not a chair in Senate 10 and was told he could not speak at this meeting by Ramona Christian- this also elicited laughter as Buchanan had silenced Christian for attempting to talk during a 5th District Committee meeting. Payback's a bitch!
