This post is long overdue, maybe past its best-buy date, but I have had some distractions. I have been waiting for full reporting for all the candidates; some still have not reported their expenditures and donations and I will update this post ASAP. Anyway, here we go-
I hope everyone, even the losers, had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I was told by a friend that if you lose a run for office, you cry for days; the winner cries for years.
The Scuttlebutt.
The biggest loser shoulda tried to be the reform candidate.
Duane Adams pulled out all the stops—he had bussed in three loads of supporters, glad-handed the line to get in, had all the bells and whistles like hats and shirts, and had the Consultant Corps busily looking busy and important. He delivered his canned speech like a carnival barker. He trotted out Bob Good and Establishment RPV types such as Chief Inquisitor Rick Buchanan and Rich Anderson; he reputedly had Dominion and other big donors- a schmooze fest! He won the first round handily and was struttin' his stuff, as confident as Pappy O'Daniel in O Brother, Where Art Thou! Here he is with his consultants:
Bob Good:
Bob had no idea how to be a Congressman. All his grandstanding isolated him from Congress and over half his District, and he constantly meddled downstream to look important, compensating for being a lame duck in DC. This was another failure from the man whose fare-thee-well said, ‘I never promised I’d get anything done.’
This was his 7th loss- 1) 2023 attempt to help Duane win this seat, 2) losing Trump's endorsement, 3) primary election night, 4) the full recount, 5)the adjusted recount, 6) McGuire defeated Good’s Write-in Campaign, and 7) his second attempt to get Adams the Senate Seat.
Then there are the Bonus losses: the failed McGuire treasurer scam (Good’s Oct. surprise), his Committee Chair lackey’s Trump letter, being called out by the Trump Campaign for unauthorized signage use, and being caught bald-faced lying by a CNN reporter for badmouthing Trump.
The CONsultants:
His Consultants are all losers, too. As best we could tell from VPAP records, Bonnie and Clyde's win rate was about 23%+, but it will now be less with the significant loss of Good’s and Adams’ campaigns. They could consider going back to house painting. At least it's honest work.
Waverly Woods was a big loser here as well. Woods was on Good’s payroll during the Primary recount. Woods runs the Virginia "Liberty" Caucus and its Facebook Group. Funny how a ‘Liberty” Caucus bans citizens for not genuflecting before Bob's record of no accomplishments. Daniel Bradshaw (who is also an elected SCC Representative- a conflict of interest by even slack ethical standards) was on salary with team Bob. He flitted around like Tinkerbell but had no fairy dust in his magic wand for Duane or Bob.
The Mass Meeting was like a fashion show of consultants, all strutting up and down the aisles, displaying Duane’s most fashionable ways to deprive the grassroots of their choice.
The parasite class gets paid whether the candidate wins or loses, like hiring a plastic surgeon convinced you’ll be a star. It is a great deal for the CONsultant, and that is why so many from the original Tea Party movement have cashed in and monetized their activism. They aren’t the first to have such an epiphany; political advisors have been around as long as those other two professions. They are recorded in the Bible, along with Sodom and Gomorrah.
The latest rumor out of Cambell County is that Bonnie and Clyde may be headed for North Carolina after having their house sold out from under them. Having such a poor win record in Virginia, they need some new turf. The good news is that with Trump deporting all the illegals, house painters are all of a sudden in high demand! Maybe even Bob Good is considering moving to Florida to be near Ron DeSantis!
Patti Lyman, Republican National Committeewoman for RPV
Cheerleader for Bob Good and Adam’s Coronation. Lots of forgettable hoorah, forgot her pompoms. Now she’s in mourning for both Bob Good’s and Duane Adam’s loss.
RPV Losers:
Ken Nunnenkamp, the Executive Director of RPV, Rich Anderson, Buchannan, and the consultants all expected Adams to win. They were all glad-handing with the presumed victor. He acted as if the outcome was pre-ordained and a coronation of sorts.
Cifers shocked the establishment.
Luther Cipher was not expected to survive the 1st round, much less the second. But his earnest manner and speech delivered him through these rounds. Jean Gannon dropped out and offered up a revelation: we all thought she was above swampy deals, but she proved to be another backroom jockey in a long line of cheesy fakers. The CONsultants passed out a nickel’s worth of yellow paper with Jean Gannon’s premade endorsement of Duane Adams. Chris “Clyde” Shores tried to plant one in my hand as if my Gannon sticker obligated me to dive into their little swamp. I had the same thought that flashed across the minds of the remaining attendees- I’ve been had… anybody but Duane! That little piece of preprinted paper turned the crowd on Adams- a nickel’s worth of paper just blew his $115 grand into dust.
People have had enough of this kind of bullshit backroom maneuvering, and any candidate using these CONsultants or their tactics is assured of the same results.
Watching Team Duane’s collective countenance evolve from certitude to gloom to tears was a spectacle. I have no sympathy. All these people make a living or assume the power to manipulate the Grassroots out of their vote through falsehoods and abuse of the Party Plan.
The message here is clear on the 5th and the 10th. We have had enough. If Anderson (RPV has invested thousands into Adams) thought it was a ‘Good’ idea to warm himself by the fire of all this mischief to get some support for his alleged run for Lt. Gub’ner, he’s in for a surprise. (Anderson bowed out this week as John Reid entered the race.)
5th District
A few Bob Good allies spent all their political capital and resigned from their positions in the District. Nate Boyer stepped down as Presidential SCC Representative, and Will Kirk from the Congressional SCC Representative position. Chairs that resigned include Albermarle, which is vacant, Nelson County Good ally Carton Ballowe, Nottaway Co. Bill Outlaw, and we should soon see Prince Edward County Diana Shores leave that Committee as a hollowed out and desolate shell.
More coming up!

More Losers Than Winners at the 10th Mass Meeting.
Friday night's Mass Meeting was the District 10 entertainment extravaganza of the year. Republicans turned out in large numbers to support their candidate. The Goochland venue was decent but needed more parking. The Credentials line moved well, and those still in line were accommodated until 7 p.m.
Bob's Fighting Freedom Fatwa Kicks Off By Vacating Buckingham Republicans.
Bob plays the religious card for votes and against constituents and, as such, has opened the door to critique his religious views, and that is why I am crossing into the taboo of mixing politics and religion- brace up.
Rick Buchanan's Stalinist Ploy For Bob Good,
By now, most of us know that something fishy happened in Appomattox County a week or so ago when the 5th District Committee met to dissolve an entire Republican County Unit on a trumped-up charge of being “inactive.”
RPV RULES RANKLE THE RANK AND FILE
Hope everyone is having a great summer! The Five and Dime is ready to start stirring the pot after a little time off!
There was a rumor floating around both during and before election night that Dwayne Adams had accepted a big role of cash from Dominion energy. This didn’t appear to pan out. I’m not sure where that rumor started, but people likely jump to conclusions given Dwayne’s favor for solar farms. Anyway, it was a reasonable conspiracy theory.
