When Censorship Is Mere Showmanship
'They Scout' Should At Least Qualify For A Gaslighting Merit Badge. OPINION
I was sent this article this morning by a reader about how a ‘Girl Scout’ is crying censorship because those vicious bigots on the Hanover Board of Supervisors didn’t reward her project.
What was the project? It was complaining that the BOS decided not to spend money on books promoting obscenities and sexualizing children on the public dime.
So what is a Girl Scout doing promoting pornography to other children, you might ask? They can’t define ‘girl!’ As you may know, the Commies that took over both Boy and Girl Scouts have erased any trace of male and female from both organizations, so why bother using pronouns at all? I saw his issue regularly as a Scoutmaster and Committee Chairman of a small troop in Beaverdam that produced over 21 Eagle Scouts when you didn’t have to sexualize everything, and an eagle was still a bird. I have no idea what they think an eagle is now- perhaps eagles self-identify as kumquats! We knew 20 years ago that the GS organization was, pardon the pun, a hotbed of lesbian activity at their summer camps.
Anyway, I left the troop and the BSA, which I thought was the last cultural stone in the cultural river, because the long march through the institution succeeded and changed the membership rules to allow open homosexuals to ‘come out.’ I told the parents of the troop why I could no longer serve- I could not guarantee that their sons would be safe from sexual predators who just happened to be under 18 at summer camp or merit badge rendezvous. These events, by nature, have the kids all over the place pursuing merit badges and swimming and hiking activities, and even several adults cannot be everywhere at once. This decision had the effect that Commies just love- my view and values were defeated.
Back to the BOS meeting.
The BOS has long recognized Eagle and Gold Awards from Scouting. But they did not honor this person’s award, and I believe they chose rightly. It is obvious that the ‘girl’ who is off to college was exploiting the award, the platform of a national organization such as the ‘They’ Scouts in order to press a sexual indoctrination and political agenda of the Woke Left. Most of us who have lived long enough to remember what shame likely would invoke it now, but let’s scout this out a little further.
Lindley’s Gold Award project involved setting up banned book nooks.
There begins the They Scout spin. These books are not banned; anyone can order any of the titles on Amazon. The BOS is not censoring books- they do not have the power to do so. First Amendment lawsuits would fly from all the usual suspects if they could censor the books. There is no censorship here and no violation of free speech because one cannot shout fire in a theater. Lindley does not have a right to force the public to finance her sexual preferences and promote them in a public school to other people’s kids without their consent. She knows it, the Board knows, the Girl Scouts know it, Linley knows the Board, and the Girl Scouts know it, but she pressed ahead anyway with her agenda. The part of the project not mentioned in the media is where Lindley knew her project wasn’t going to be recognized and knew it would be an opportunity to apply media pressure on the BOS and Hanover. Her project is about using the sexual deviancy agenda to gaslight Judeo-Christian values on a grander stage than the board room of Hanover County.
The object of activism is to manipulate a population towards a goal. This is done by applying peer pressure to create doubt in the target and induce them to comply. That’s the project. The Woke in Hanover, a small but vocal minority that as yet does not have the political weight to gain elected or appointed seats here, is doing what they can do- wage a psyop war to bend the conscience and will of weak people.
These books have explicit content that is explicitly pornographic. If these books were on the shelf of a local convenience store showing the images they contain, the store management would be subject to arrest and charged with exposing minors to porn. This is why magazines that offer much the same content must be covered. Funny, isn’t it, that a store owner cannot show on his shelves what librarians and teachers can show in a classroom without fear of arrest. No one in law enforcement seems to be able to explain that loophole to me.
I have written on this topic and shown the explicit nature of the books that Lindley demands to force your children to read! These totalitarians are the worst of zealots, and they believe they are superior, cutting-edge, and enlightened. But it’s nothing new; it’s just the old Sodom and Gomorrah with a retread.
Here are images I damn well censored for an older blog post. This stuff is absolutely outside the parameters of free speech in a public venue if the public decides it does not want to see it or wants its children exposed to it. It in no way prevents those perverts who love sex with kids from obtaining it and looking at it at home. Remember when the proponents of the sex agendas used to say- “we should be free to do what we want in the privacy of our own homes?”
VERDICT: The Hanover BOS acted well within their rights to protect the public and to recognize the so-called Gold Award project was little more than a gaslighting to attract Media attention, thereby exploiting the Girl Scout name and casting doubt on any shred of credibility that Scouting may cling too.
