Part 3: Bob Good Speedily Reneges on Pledges,
But As Fast As The Trump Train Barreling Down On Him? ~OPINION
The Pledge Ploy is a thinly veiled and desperate attempt to shift attention away from Bob Good’s constant lies and failure to legislate as a congressman.
Conservatism is not defined by getting elected on one’s skill at reciting talking points and voting nay on legislation that passes anyway and presenting it as a record. Defense without an offense can’t win. We all agree the country is in grave danger, and if we are to remain a Republic, we cannot afford any more lost ground to those working to undermine it. Conservatism must be defined by results to survive, and one has to have political skill to play offense by getting bills over the goal line. Without an offense, we lose. Should Good draw his $174,000.00 paycheck while the rest of us suffer Bob’s political consultants playing political shadow puppet theater with our right to representation?
Bob Good on Video: “There’s nothing more American than defeating an incumbent.”
The pledge ploy is an attempt at damage control to shift attention from last Saturday’s embarrassing and disastrous attempt by Good to crash a Trump event and video his opponent or followers for a campaign commercial. It backfired spectacularly in the news cycle, with hundreds of media outlets picking up the story. Reading the comment section on articles such as the Breitbart piece shows overwhelming condemnation of the attempt. Don’t be suckered- if Team Good were not bright enough to pull off that charade, do you think they are bright enough to defeat Democrat agendas in Congress? If he is so ‘good’ at his job of attacking Democrats (instead of Republicans), why was Good' fourth from the bottom in attendance as a freshman? Because he spent all his time campaigning for Democrat Duane Adams in Louisa to defeat John McGuire. That speaks volumes to his concern for Good’s pledge to work in Congress. That is the first pledge broken by Good.
Good was caught on tape reneging on his pledge to support Trump in return for Trump’s endorsement- without which Good would not have won his challenge against Denver Riggleman.
Bob Good pledged his support to Donald Trump in return for Trump’s endorsement- an item signifying a pledge (see part 2). He reneged on his pledge and chose the day of DJT’s indictment to impress his Never-Trumper’s pals in the hopes the Democrat lawfare would clear DeSantis’ path with Trump in jail. The intent of such a scheme is entirely in line with the ploy attempted by his consultants, who identify as notorious criminals Bonnie and Clyde and set out to “Jan6” their opponent in Farmville at a Trump event.
Bob Good pledged his support to Kevin McCarthy for $2.5 million in filthy lucre as a token, broke that pledge, and turned on McCarthy. Good felt circumstances changed- justifying his reneging, which may yet cost the House majority and damaged Republican fundraising. The Democrats cheered Good for taking out the Republican Caucus’ most significant fundraiser, giving them a great advantage.
The tape cuts off store owner Karen Angulo first saying, “You’re really doing this,” twice at the beginning as Good attempts to hijack her event. It doesn’t go well for Bob. Click here for the whole video, or open the link at the end of the article.
Good slobbered over his pledged endorsement of Mike Johnson, and when Johnson did not live up to his expectations, he reneged and attacked Johnson. Good always takes advantage of every opportunity to nullify his pledges and vacate others. We can’t hold him to his standard, or we are unchristian!
Candidate Good pledged two years ago at his nomination over Dan Moy that he would represent his constituents and has yet to get a single bill into law. Our pledge to re-elect Good is nullified by his inability to keep his promise to make an effective legislator. It is his standard. A single Bill would be a sealing token of a pledge according to the biblical standard.
Bob Good admitted he lied about his Trump pledge to his constituents during a CNN interview; he tells constituents one thing in public and another in private- like being a Never Trumper.
These events shaped John McGuire's decision to challenge Bob Good and my and others' decisions to ask him to do so.
No one is obligated to keep a pledge with another who reneges on their pledges.
Good is losing his mind over being challenged, but challenging an incumbent for this congressional seat was perfectly good for him with Denver Riggleman.
Riggleman pledged something and didn’t stand by the conservative claim. Riggleman played offense and got legislation passed. Good says that going after an incumbent is patriotic (see video).
VIDEO: Bob Good pledged he never talked down Trump and Got caught lying on CNN. Here, he criticizes Trump 24 hours after claiming he is back on the MAGA Train as he continues campaigning for DeSantis.
Bob’s standard is to vacate those reneging on their pledge, except him. He admitted on national TV he regularly reneges on us- saying one thing in public and another when his constituents are listening.
THE WRAP:
The claim John McGuire reneged on a solemn pledge fails the biblical standard and it fails common sense. It was manufactured by hirelings for political gain. Find a church that understands the Bible if your pastor led you to believe McGuire made an irrevocable pledge while ignoring Good’s constant reneging. Reject vain and gaseous pronouncements of those priding themselves as Christian celebrity- an unbiblical thing in itself.
Chris LaCivita’s: “Bob Good won’t be electable when we get done with him.”
Bob skipped CPAC and Trump. He didn’t dare face Trump or Chris LaCivita. He knew he would be publicly snubbed for using old photos with Trump from before his Ron DeSantis endorsement. - Good endorsed an elected official to another office who reneged on his pledge to complete his full term before running for another office. Going so far as to have Florida law abrogated to renege on his pledge to do it! Hypocrite.
I bet he will make an excuse to avoid Trump this Saturday in Richmond. If he thought Trump would support having him back on the Trump Train, he would have shown up for a new photo op at CPAC. His absence speaks volumes.
If the pledge ploy has any truth, it is that it perfectly reveals the double standard personifying Bob Good’s Congressional legacy- his constant lies to preserve his $174K gig with nothing tangible for the 5th District. It’s not good enough.
Bob gets his hat handed to him by a CNN reporter on his lies, and all he can do is lie some more about ‘my opponent edited the tape.” But there is no evidence anyone from the McGuire campaign had anything to do with this tape, much less edit it. Good is the one that tried to capture McGuire on tape in Farmville with a setup ploy inspired by Pelosi’s Jan6 entrapment scheme.
John McGuire’s use of the word pledge amounts to someone asking for a “Coke” when they want a cola or a Kleenex when they want a tissue. Maybe we should think of a brand name to tag Bob’s failure to get a bill through Congress; it would stick to him like Velcro!
Parsing words is the substance of Good’s entire record in Congress, so you can understand the constant deflection toward his opponent. He wouldn’t stoop to the tactic if he was confident of a victory against McGuire in June.
Bob needs to learn to keep his pledges. You can help him make up for the many broken pledges above and have him fulfill this pledge right now. Note how Bob’s pledge is to make a career in politics with 18 years in the Swamp! His term limit pledge is as much a lie as all his others!
Coming up:- I will examine the record of Bonnie and Clyde Strategies and what they deliver to the candidates they fleece.
