Support Of The 2nd Is Validated By Respect Of The 1st.
Political Wannabes That Don't Respect Your Right To Speech Won't Follow Through On The 2nd Amendment. OPINION.

How can you tell if a candidate claiming to support the 2nd Amendment is another windbag saying what they think you want to hear? You have to check them out.
Folks, the Republican Party is broken at every level. We see candidates running with baggage all over Virginia because no one properly vets them. Or even worse, they vet them, know the defects, and want someone they can leverage.
Weak vetting encourages lackluster candidates and encourages pikers to exploit our representation. So many opportunists rattle off litanies of conservative talking points like TV preachers imploring you to touch the screen, be healed, and send in your pledge. Too often, we do just that and end up with empty promises, a disordered and corrupt party with defective candidates, and less the pledge money.
The Louisa GOP Unit, IMO, is an excellent example of poor vetting of ‘leadership.’ Their Mass Meeting this past week, run by Chair Robin Horne, Duane Adams, Bob Good, and Lawyer Graven Craig, all exploited the event towards their ends rather than serve the interests of the rank and file. All in league with the Never-Trumpers. What they did tells much about who they are and what they will continue to do when given power because the system is broken at its moral foundation, and they are the consequence.

The meeting had the usual signposts of a Unit run by corruptacrats- long delays in the heat to discourage opposition, a ridiculous and complex credentials process, and standing Republican voters literally against the wall and made to vote orally for the Sheriff's primary challenger! One wonders if the incumbent had them spread eagle and frisked while Robin Horne fingerprinted them. Did Lawyer Craig offer his services? He claims he is a proponent of civil rights, but having the Sheriff’s endorsement, I suppose not. Marginalizing citizens by ostracizing them publicly by literally making them stand against the wall to vote is the Louisa GOP unit’s version of Jim Crow.
There is an order to our political process for a reason. To participate in a fair political process, everyone must have the same fundamental rights and the opportunity to exercise them without interference. Louisa citizens showed up to use their 1st Amendment rights (inherent in the 1st, later defined in the 14th and 26th as circumstances necessitated) to express their decision in who best should serve them, but keeping them roasting in the hot sun for an hour or more to get them to leave deprived them of access. The Unit Committee, having stripped away the exercise of speech through denial of reasonable access, further distorted the process by denying their fellow citizens a private vote. Here is what Louisa Republicans had to say about it all:
Intimidation tactics like these aim to engineer a desired outcome. This behavior by the Louisa GOP is outrageous. Robin Horne, Supervisor Adams, Lawyer Craig, and cheerleader/ part-time Congressman' Bill-less' Bob Good are the first to nod heads during any discussion of election rigging but had no problem running a manipulated Mass Meeting. Craig benefitted by coincidental oversight to inform or invite Delegate Buddy Fowler to speak to fellow Republicans at the event.*

Rigging by massaging the competition out of access may sound like a minor deal. Still, any short-changing of speech in the political process to shape an election is an attack on your right to choose, and those that cheat will continue to do so on a grander scale if given power. If Craig and Co. will pull a cheap stunt on their neighbors to get elected, think of how he'd short-change the whole district in Richmond if given a chance.
What does this have to do with the 2nd Amendment?
Our Constitution has a logical order. The 1st Amendment recognizes the God Given right to free speech, of which voting is an extension, and the 2nd Amendment ensures the ability to participate in the political process without being arrested, delayed, marginalized, or ostracized. The 2nd protects and enforces the 1st. If you think this is a stretch, consider switching the order and making gun ownership the 1st and supreme right and speech secondary. The result would look like Cuba, as the rule of the gun would trump any rights, and you’d find yourself up against a wall, kind of like folks did at the Mass Meeting. When guns vote, you don’t get to say, believe, or own what you want. This is why the Founders ordered the Constitution with the exercise of free speech as supreme.

Anyone engaging in shenanigans such as above to railroad fellow Republicans, marginalize neighbors, deprive them of the security and privacy of their vote, and purposely omit viable candidates to push their crony (Craig) is abusing the Party Unit as a personal campaign apparatus rather than as a forum and opportunity for their fellow Republicans to make an informed decision.
Denying debate and omitting views is lying by omission, and it is no different than the MSM's selective reporting to shape people's thoughts and opinions. It is a perversion of truth, as anything less than the whole truth is a lie. It intends to alter your decision and, therefore, your speech in the form of voting.
Railroading voters is an assault on their First Amendment. Anyone claiming to advocate the 2nd Amendment while undermining the 1st, your right to a fair political process, is a damn liar. Add this last-minute bit of info; the “Louisa Mafia,” as their fellow Republicans reportedly call them, closed membership to the Unit Committee to preserve their power, not serve you.
These people have all the savor of a six-pack of Bud Light.
*Notably, Hanover Chairman Jack Dyer, who, in the wake of his defeat by John McGuire for the 10th District Senate seat, attempted to prevent McGuire from addressing the Hanover Committee because, as people overheard, he was afraid John might point out he endorsed Fowler rather than his new ally Craig.
Both Fowler and Craig were present. Dyer joined the Louisa Never-Trumpers, and as they did here, he used the Hanover Committee as his campaign committee. Were they sharing tricks of the trade?

Bob Good is burning bridges. He is under heavy criticism from all over the new 10th Senate District for getting involved in a Primary and pushing former (?) Democrat- Duane Adams. GRAVEN CRAIG: BIG ON CRIME?
Graven Craig is running for the 59th Delegate Seat in the Virginia Legislature. Democrat judges created this district in the gerrymandering process and upended Hanover's senior Delegate Buddy Fowler's seat. So who is Graven Craig? I'll answer that question with this and several follow-up posts.

A 50-year-old lawyer who had been practicing since he was 25 passed away and arrived at the Pearly Gates for judgment. The lawyer said to St. Peter, “There must be some mistake! I’m only 50 years old, that’s far too young to die.” St. Peter frowned and consulted his book. “That’s funny, when we add up your billing records, you should be at least 83 by now!”
